This policy covers the What It Changes website and What It Changes Uploader, the internal tool we use to publish videos to our own YouTube channel.

Who we are

What It Changes is a YouTube news-explainer channel. You can contact us at whatitchanges@gmail.com.

Website visitors

This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or forms. We do not collect personal data from visitors. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and time of request) for security, under its own privacy policy.

What It Changes Uploader and Google user data

What It Changes Uploader uses YouTube API Services. It is used only by the owner of the What It Changes channel, who signs in with their own Google account.

What we access: the permission to upload and manage videos on the channel owner's own YouTube channel (videos, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, captions and privacy settings).
How we use it: only to publish and update the channel's own videos. We do not read, collect or store data about other YouTube users or viewers.
Storage: the authorization token is stored only on our private server, encrypted at rest, and is used for no other purpose.
Sharing: we do not sell, share, or transfer Google user data to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.
Revoking access: access can be revoked at any time from the Google Account security settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions. On request we delete any stored token within 7 days.

What It Changes Uploader's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

By using YouTube API Services through this tool, users are also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Viewers on YouTube

When you watch our videos or comment on YouTube, YouTube and Google process your data under their own policies. We only see what YouTube shows to every channel owner, such as public comments and aggregated, anonymous statistics.
